Know Your Rights

The LUV Institute has been appointed by 4th Ward Alderman Sophia King and 3rd Ward Alderman Pat Dowell to lead the “Know Your Rights” campaign in their wards to inform community members about their rights. As a part of this initiative, we have partnered with First Defense Legal Aid (FDLA). It is a non-profit organization that provides attorneys to protect the rights of individuals who have been placed in the custody of the Chicago Police Department.​
